Please see attached photos of our 2 No Waste Heat Boilers which are being exchanged in the next 2 months. Designed by Thorne International Boilers Ltd, and manufactured in Scotland by Cochran Boilers Ltd.

In essence these are packaged Waste Heat Boiler with the design capability to produce steam at 16,250KGs per hour with a gas inlet temperature of 1120c and an outlet temperature of 180c at a flow rate of 10.97Kgs/second. The Steam Generator is approximately 7m long without its Superheater and Economiser connection ducts. The Boiler working pressure is 43bar.

The Super heater (where installed) is designed at 40bar pressure and 400c of Superheated steam.

Feed water temperature is 125c.

The Boiler is to Design Code BS2790:1992 and the Economiser and Superheater to BS1113:1999.

Both Steam Superheaters have been removed and charged with Water so currently there’s a Generator and Piggy Back Drum and the Economiser and Gas bypass in operation. We have some Headers and pipe work if they were to be converted back to Superheated Steam Boilers.

They were commissioned on Gas Oil and went into Service on MSW and SRF in Summer 2009 and have covered roughly 4000hrs operation. S2 Boiler has just had its inspection and Full NDT on both ends of the tube plate and passed without issues.

There are two identical handed units installed, however S1 may need a re tube. Both units have inter stage soot blower lanes for soot blowers.

Both the Boilers are located in Dumfries Scotland. Firm expressions of Interest are required by the 29st of April 2011, and the boilers have to be off site by the end of May 2011.
