Founded in Wisconsin, USA, as the Compression Rheostat Company by Dr. Stanton Allen and Lynde Bradley the company re-branded to Allen Bradley in 1910. Initial Allen Bradley equipment included a range of electrical measurement machines and devices and by the mid 1950’s was a major player in the electronic management and measurement market. In 1995 Allen Bradley was acquired by Rockwell International, now known as Rockwell Automation. Allen Bradley is responsible for the manufacture and production of programmable logic controllers (PLC), human-machine interfaces, sensors, safety components and systems, software, drives and drive systems, contractors and motor control centers.
Allen Bradley devices are used across world in electronics, IT, aerospace, military and communications industries. Major products have included the Powerflex range of variable frequency drive computer peripherals plus a large range of control equipment used in power supply devices.
Current Allen Bradley equipment includes products to secure and protect circuit boards, operator interfaces for computers and handheld devices, condition monitoring and connection tools, energy monitoring and control, sensors and motion controls and various energy management options.
