AMADAGlobal sheet metal production equipment and technical innovation company Amada was founded in 1946 by Mr Isamu Amada and the company was originally dedicated to the production of bandsaw blades for use in woodworking industries and wood fabrication processes.
Amada expanded into design and manufacture of bending machines, followed by the world’s first range of NCT turret punch press and laser cutting systems. The company is now a global provider of equipment used in metal production. With a large network of offices in Japan, USA, Europe and Africa the company comprises of Amada Precision Tools, Amada Machine Tools and the global research and development arm Amada Ltd. The company is supported by 80 companies and subsidiaries in 70 countries and has over 6000 employees and 3100 design and technical patents.
Amada metal production equipment is now used in many industries, from spot welding to fully automated factories, engineering to tool making and military precision items to large scale construction projects.
The current range of Amada products includes bending machines, laser, punching and shearing devices, combination machines and automation processes. Amada also supports many legacy products, with a full range of warranty, spare parts and pre owned support facilities. The company also provides a range of specialist engineering products such as FLW welder series, a robotic fibre laser welding cell and the Togu EU device used for automatic high quality grinding, used in everything from metal reduction, contaminant management and mining.
