The unit is equipped with an LCD control panel that provides intuitive control over all operating parameters, including speed, time, and temperature

The brushless motor drive accelerates the rotor to set speed quickly, while an integrated isolation system ensures vibration-free operation, even with a slight imbalance. An additional imbalance detection system automatically shuts down operation in the event of a significant imbalance. Deceleration is acheived in under 18 seconds and will not disrupt samples.

The solid aluminum 24-place rotor allows easy access to the tops of tubes. Individual tube slots support tubes along their length and will contain samples in the event of a spill, or tube failure. The rotor accepts 1.5/2.0 mL tubes directly. The rotor is seated on a tapered shaft which facilitates removal for cleaning and autoclaving.

Speed can be set in increments of 100rpm, or RCF in increments of 100xg. Timed operation is programmable in preset or continuous format, with the added feature of a momentary spin function that is activated by pressing and holding the quick key. Powerful refrigeration maintains temperature presets, and is designed to reach 4°C (from room temperature) in under 8 minutes.
