Description

Designed for 500 LPH juice with a 15-second holding time. Includes:

Product & water pumps
Heat exchangers (heating & cooling)
Holding tube
Divert valve
Electric hot water heating
Control panel with recorder
Upgrades:

Flowmeter: A new flowmeter will be installed to allow for precise control of product flows during production. The flowmeter will use a local display to indicate flow only. To avoid having to open the control cabinet to access the VSD, a speed controller will be located on the cabinet door to adjust flow rate.
Temperature control: A solid-state relay (SSR) will be used in place of the existing on/off contactor to control the electrical heating element, providing more precise control over the hot water and pasteurizing temperature. A hot water control valve will also be installed to further improve temperature precision. A new temperature probe will be installed on the product heating outlet to reduce any lag time in the control loop.
Hot water level switch: A secondary level switch will be installed in the heating tank to notify the operator when more water is required before the heating system shuts down.
Flow valve: A simple orifice valve will be installed in the process line prior to the heat exchanger to allow the pump to operate at the required flow rate. During processing, the valve will be closed to force the product through the orifice, and during CIP, the valve will be opened to ensure full flow for efficient cleaning.
