Description
new electrical box, PLC and HMI Siemens 2022 ( encoder, sensor,...)
This vertical and intermittently operating cartoner has a maximum output of between 15 and 70
cartons per minute. The machine is suitable for cartoning products which cannot be fed automatically.
Flat cartons are loaded vertically into an infeed magazine. As they move forward, they are extracted by a vacuum sucker, erected and transferred into an adjustable carrier chain. The cartons are moved through various stations of the machine where the lower main carton flap is coded with batch numbers, Datamatrix etc. prior to closing. The cartoner is offered complete with an InkJet Printer. Additionally, the previous owner has retrofitted a Laetus Control Unit which can check product, carton and leaflets.
IF faulty items are detected, the machine will stop. Please note that the Laetus is not checked for function. The design of the upper flap allows correct and easy manual filling of the carton. The machine is currently fitted with a feeding assembly for pre-folded leaflets. The feeding track has a length of approx. 200 cm and allows up to 3 operators to fill the cartons with different products. Additionally, this cartoner is fitted with an automatic feed system for tins and bottles and a cartridge feed system.
Bottles to be cartoned arrive on an infeed conveyor and are extracted by a gripper (current format
part). The bottles are then positioned into the top of the open carton ready to be fully inserted with
the leaflet. Once filled, the carton proceeds through the machine where the top flaps are progressively closed – finally, it is discharged from the carrier chain by vacuum.
This Cartoner is set up to handle cartons with reverse-tuck closures within the following size
range:
c a b
Minimum 50 mm 20 mm 15 mm
Maximum 195 mm 115 mm 70 mm
The operating area is enclosed within a hinged Perspex safety guard except from the filling area. All operator controls are grouped in a panel mounted above the carousel within easy reach of the
operator. The Laetus Ink Jet is controlled via a separate operator panel.
An external supply of compressed air is required.
