The Envirolyte unit ELA 24000 is designed to produce electrolysed (EW) water anolyte for a variety of application where disinfection, sterilisation and water treatment are required. The unit uses an electrolyser (cell) to electrically activate a solution of common salt (NaCl). There are two chambers (anode chamber and cathode chamber) separated by a membrane, each with a positive and a negative electrode. A direct current flows through the solution and produces anolytes from the positive chamber after the volume of brine in the negative chamber has been treated. The strength of the solution varies according to the current flowing between the electrodes and gives different values for ORP (redox potential), pH and C.ac (active chlorine).
