The Lincoln Electric Idealarc DC-1000 multi-process welding machine is specially designed for semi-automatic and automatic welding applications. The 500A output connections provide enhanced arc characteristics for submerged arc and MIG welding procedures. The welder has a single-range control for precise output control and easy operation. Weld consistency is maintained, even with line voltage changes of +/-10% with the help of line voltage compensation. The welder is supplied with a standard analog ammeter and an analog voltmeter for convenience. It comes with a mode switch which is used to select the desired output characteristics for the process being used. It has a power start/stop button that switches with a pilot light. It has a 115 V auxiliary wire feeder supply with a capacity of 1000 VA. The auxiliary power supply is fuse-protected for added safety. It has a built-in front panel that protects the operating controls. Internal components such as windings, rectifiers and circuit boards are provided with a coating to reduce the effects of moisture and corrosion. The welder has removable side panels for easy access to internal parts.
