Description

D40/D50/D100 THIGH FINISH
The Meyn D50 and D100 deboners are considered the industry benchmark for high-performance production of deboned thigh or
drum meat. The systems are characterized by simplicity, resulting in a virtually meatless bone when combined with
minimum adjustments and maintenance.

The D50 Thigh Deboner can mechanically debone anatomical thighs with a maximum capacity of 3,000 products per hour. this
the thighs are delivered to the stand-alone machine by e.g. belt conveyor. Optionally, the machine can be mounted
with a brass knuckle saw that allows you to process the drumsticks on the same machine.

With a capacity of 6,000 products per hour, the Meyn D100 boner offers very high throughput and extremely low bone content
on a compact surface. In the standard version, the machine only treats thighs, but with an optional tendon clipper
installed, it will also process drum sticks with excellent performance.
OPERATIONS
The thighs can be delivered to the Meyn thigh boning machine by a conveyor belt that can be placed under the entrance.
This conveyor belt is not included in the scope of delivery.
One operator loads the thigh into the product holder. The product handle then pulls the thigh through
sequence of boning steps integrated into the carousel mechanism:
* The product is positioned by the probe
* The thigh joint is gently pushed through the rubber membrane while the thigh meat, including the kneecap, remains on
product holder
* The bone is released from the diaphragm
* Boned thigh meat with or without skin is unloaded in a separate place
* The diameter of the rubber membrane used depends on the live weight of the product and the aging time. The optimal diameter is
empirically established on site. A set of diaphragms with different diameters is supplied with each machine

After boning, the only remaining operations are trimming and quality grading. Standard Meyn trimming table can be
very easily integrated. The number of trimming operators depends on customer requirements. Note that the knee pad will be
in combination with de-boned thigh meat due to the method used.

OPTIONS
Option for D50 boner:
* Knuckle saw for boning drumsticks
* The knuckle saw separates the knuckle from the drumstick before deboning, effectively freeing the meat from
bone on the side of the ankle. After installing this device, the machine will cut off thighs or drumsticks. Switch between
it will take a few minutes

Option for D100 boner:
* Tendon cutting unit for deboning drumsticks
* The heel tendon is cut automatically just before the drumstick is delivered to the boning carousel. With this device
installed, the machine will cut off thighs or drumsticks. Switching between them will take about 10 minutes

OVERVIEW OF THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS
* A simple process of mechanically pushing bones through a rubber membrane
* Very high yield and extremely low bone content
* Easy to operate, clean and maintain
* Can be easily integrated
* Solid construction
