The RAFAMET KCI 320/400N CNC vertical lathe, built in Poland in 2011, allows for the implementation of a wide range of machining large-size details with complex shapes, such as turning, milling, drilling and boring of cylindrical, conical and curvilinear surfaces. The KCI 320/400N CNC carousel turning center has one turning head and three milling heads set at different angles, with the help of which it is possible to implement complex machining programs. The universal turning head enables semi-automatic clamping of CAPTO turning tools in the horizontal and vertical slot and provides coolant on/through the cutting tool.
A detail with a maximum weight of 50 tons is placed in the working space on a large cast iron table with a diameter of 3200 mm, with a dimensional rolling bearing. The entire working space of the CNC lathe was fully illuminated, enclosed with shields and equipped with a system of TV cameras connected to monitors, enabling tracking of the progress of the production process.
